Can I bring my pet?
We understand you might want to bring your furry friend with you! Whether you can move your dog, cat, guinea pig or another pet to your SSH room, differs per city and per building. If allowed, roommates should not be bothered by the smell or noise. You are also not allowed to make changes in your living space for the benefit of your pet, such as a cat flap in the door. Also consider whether your room / house is a nice place for a pet as you won't be at home all the time. Would you really like a pet? Contact us and and state your address. We will let you know whether or not pets are allowed here.
Am I allowed to organize a party?
You can organize a party, but you need permission from the SSH. For some buildings (such as the IBB complex In Utrecht) you'll find an application form on My SSH. By the wat, all SSH buildings should be quiet after 22:00.
Mail and (stolen) packages
Anyone can have mail and packages delivered to their home address. Sometimes mail or packages gets lost. Unfortunately, we cannot deal with suspicions of theft; despite the fact that there are cameras in some places, we are not allowed to share camera footage. Only the police can request camera footage, provided an official report has been made. So try to find out from fellow residents or through the postal deliverer where your mail or package may be located, or go to the police.
How does parking, washing, garbage and such work?
New to the building and wondering about parking, laundry, garbage disposal, and other amenities? It's important to familiarize yourself with these logistics. You can access information about the facilities in your building by visiting 'My SSH' and selecting the 'My Accommodation' tab.
