How to avoid mold?
Do you have mold and moisture in your home? Fortunately, you can do something about it. Below you’ll find advise to keep your home moisture and mold free.
- Release humid air! Cooking, showering, sleeping and hanging laundry inside, cause the air to become damp and humid in the room. And did you know that heating a humid room costs more energy than heating a room with low humidity? Keep ventilating daily, even when it's colder outside. So open that window!
- Humid air condenses on cold surfaces and this eventually becomes mold. Therefore, it is important to never turn the heating off completely, but do heat the room occasionally. Set your heating to 19 when you are at home and never lower than 15 when you are away.
- After showering, about half a liter of water remains on the bathroom walls and floor. After showering, dry them with a towel so that the moisture does not have a chance to cause mold.
